Ministry of Public Security Announces 5 Typical Cases of Enterprise-related Crimes Adhere to "zero tolerance" for prominent crimes involving enterprises

  Rule of Law Daily, Beijing, October 30, reporter Zhang Chen, Ministry of Public Security, today announced five typical cases of enterprise-related crimes. According to reports, since this year, public security organs throughout the country have resolutely cracked down on all kinds of prominent economic crimes in accordance with the law, especially on prominent crimes involving enterprises, insisting on "zero tolerance", and continuously intensified their efforts to crack down on crimes that seriously infringe on the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and the masses, such as contract fraud, duty embezzlement, misappropriation of funds and commercial bribery, so as to create fairness. Promote high-quality economic and social development.

  The five typical cases are: the case of Li in Beijing who was suspected of embezzlement; the case of Shen in Zhejiang who was suspected of misappropriating funds; the case of Ma in Anhui who was suspected of bribery by non-state workers; the case of Zheng in Guangdong who was suspected of contract fraud; and the case of Luan in Shaanxi who was suspected of embezzlement.

  In the case of suspected contract fraud by Zheng Mouxin and others in Guangdong Province, the Dongguan Public Security Bureau of Guangdong Province filed a case in April this year to investigate the case of suspected contract fraud by Zheng Mouxin and others. After investigation, from 2020 to 2024, a criminal gang headed by Zheng Mouxin, for the purpose of illegal possession, lured people with good credit information but in urgent need of money with high returns to cooperate with them in applying for loans from banks, then concealed the truth that they would use the loans to buy cars, and illegally resold the vehicles for profit, to banks and cars. The amount involved amounted to more than 70 million yuan. At present, Zheng Mouxin and other major criminal suspect have been arrested and brought to justice, and the case has been transferred to the procuratorial organs for examination and prosecution.
